چکیده
Interleukin (IL)-22, together with IL-23 and IL-17, is up-regulated in psoriatic lesions has been suggested to be involved the pathogenesis of psoriasis. However, while IL-17 have established as valid therapeutic targets psoriasis, anti-IL-22 antibody failed show its efficacy clinical trial for psoriasis vulgaris. Since it reported that better effect was achieved anti-TNFα antibodies arthritis (PsA) subjects high serum IL-22 levels, anti-IL-17A were suited those low possible expression reflects specific subpopulations Here, we analyzed association between disease prognosis frequency IL-22-positive CD4+ T cells skin 17 patients who had not received systemic treatments. According percentages among dermal on paraffin-embedded immune-stained sections, defined Th22 score 0 (< 20%), 1 (20-60%), or 2 (> 60%) (score 0, 1, 2: n = 6, 9, 2, respectively). No predominant correlation found duration, age, recent topical treatment. Although no PASI (5.83 ± 4.04 4.93 4.50 4.70 0.57 2), scores showed incidence PsA (50.0 % 22.2 2). In addition, subsequent introduction biologics one year frequent (60.0 11.1 Our study implies higher lesional CD4+T may act a suppressive manner against progression.

evaluation of the effect of il-22 on human cord blood cd4+ t cells
il-22 is a member of il-10 cytokine family which is believed to play an important role in inflammatory responses. il-22 has similarities with il-10 including conserved sequences with il-10. il-22 receptor is also comprised of two chains known as l-22r1 and l-10r2; supporting the speculation that the two cytokines may have similar effects. the aim of this study was to shed some light on the biol...
متن کاملIL-21 induces IL-22 production in CD4+ T-cells
Interleukin (IL)-22 produced by innate lymphoid cells (ILCs) and CD4+ T cells plays an important role in host defence and mucosal homeostasis, thus it is important to investigate the mechanisms that regulate IL-22 production. We investigated the regulation IL-22 production by CD4+ T cells. Here we show that IL-21 triggers IL-22, but not IL-17 production by CD4+ T cells. STAT3, activated by IL-2...
متن کاملAKT family and miRNAs expression in IL-2-induced CD4+T cells
Objective(s): Study of non-coding RNAs is considerable to elucidate principal biological questions or design new therapeutic strategies. miRNAs are a group of non-coding RNAs that their functions in PI3K/AKT signaling and apoptosis pathways after T cell activation is not entirely clear. Herein, miRNAs expression and their putative targets in the mentioned pathways were studied in the activated ...
متن کاملCD4 T-Cell Dysregulation in Psoriatic Arthritis Reveals a Regulatory Role for IL-22
Dysregulation of interleukin-22 (IL-22) has been associated with autoimmune diseases but divergent effects upon inflammation have hampered efforts to define its contribution to pathogenesis. Here, we examined the role of IL-22 in patients with psoriatic arthritis (PsA). In the peripheral blood of PsA patients, there was a decrease in IL-22+CD4+ T cells compared with healthy controls resulting i...
متن کاملIL-10-producing CD4+ T cells negatively regulate fucosylation of epithelial cells in the gut
Fucosylated glycans on the surface of epithelial cells (ECs) regulate intestinal homeostasis by serving as attachment receptors and a nutrient source for some species of bacteria. We show here that epithelial fucosylation in the ileum is negatively regulated by IL-10-producing CD4(+) T cells. The number of fucosylated ECs was increased in the ileum of mice lacking T cells, especially those expr...
